From a picking standpoint, last Friday night was not a bad one for yours truly. I never pick against the Red Tornadoes. All I can do is hope that they take care of business each week. Beating Newton-Conover in Gurley Stadium is a tall order anytime. I'll get into all that in a different post. My other miss was in the game between Hibriten and Foard. I'd estimate that most people went with Hibriten to win but acknowledging that it was basically a toss-up. I felt that Hibriten's recent tradition of winning might make the difference in the end. But the Tigers hung on to win a close one and now have the luxury of facing West Caldwell and Bunker Hill this week and next. Meanwhile, Hibriten jumps from the frying pan into the fire as they host Newton-Conover. Red Devils like them some fire...
